HUNGRY EYES
VIDEO SCREENING
The relevance of the moving image within contemporary
culture has been under-scored in the last five years by
technological developments that have made the creation
and viewing of digital video vastly more accessible.
Videophones and internet streaming
have begot Happy Slapper videos and the Obama Girl
respectively.
Hungry Eyes is a showcase for the work of five artists
who are critically engaged with these developments as
part of a wider social context, and whose methods range
from slickly seductive to outright antagonistic.
